GENESIS, Chapter Six

1: And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3: And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4: There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5: And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6: And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7: And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9: These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. 10: And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11: The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12: And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 13: And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14: Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 15: And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16: A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. 17: And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. 18: But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. 19: And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. 20: Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. 21: And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. 22: Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

(vs. 1) Men following God’s command to multiply began having daughters and these daughters begin to have extraterrestrial sexual relations with the fallen angels. The result was total corruption of “God’s way”. It therefore becomes parents to BE CAREFUL WITH WHOM YOUR CHILDREN GO ! You should do a through job of investigating the friends - especially boy friends - of your daughters. Instead of (vs. 2) true Sons of God your daughter may be with a child of the devil or a hypocritical bastard Christian (Heb. 12:8).

There are those who call these “sons of God” the fleshly line of Seth with the “daughters of men” being the fleshly line of Cain. If you will study the usage of the phraseology you will abort that theological position. These “sons” appear as MEN - not women - and they appear before the Lord regularly. Job 1:6: Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. They entertain an audience with the Almighty as does the Adversary. The subject on this occasion is Job. Satan has come before God from the earth. Satan is in the presence of God with the “sons of God” -- fallen angels. Job 38:7: sons of God “shouted for joy” way back Before Creation.: When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? It was after the shouting had died down that the angels made their choice to follow Satan. After they made that choice they came under judgment of God: Psalm 82: 6: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. 7: But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. These FALLEN ANGELS, out on a haunted hunt, came to planet earth on the back forty and saw the daughters and took wives. They could take wives because they have the capacity to appear as normal man; they are able to manifest in the flesh and procreate. Note that these are “on earth”. Jesus made a distinction between what goes on on earth and what goes on IN heaven. Matthew 22:30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

The designation made by Jesus identifies these as the “angels of God” and their dwelling place is “in heaven”, where we will be in the resurrection. But the “sons of God” are without a home and they have all eternity to search for a party -- they find on on Mother Earth! Luke 17: 26: And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27: They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. We are not far from this description in our present generation. One of these days God’s grace, mercy, and love will come to the end and His holiness will require justice and judgment on “them that dwell on the earth”. It did in Noah’s generation.

(vs. 3) My Spirit not always strive with man. God judged man with the flood; He judged Israel with destruction and captivity; and He will judge you too. Paul says we can (I Thessalonians 5:19) Quench ... the Spirit which gives us the seal of our redemption. Our behavior and attitude can give the Holy Spirit grief ( Ephesians 4:30 ) And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. One of the biggest areas of offense against God is in the area of sexual misconduct. Another area of severity to God is idolatry: i.e., taking glory from Him for yourself or another. It is compounded when you combine the two. One avenue of judgment God will use is to send you one of these roving “sons of God”. I Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. If you will repent and obey then the Lord will take away the evil spirit and give you of His Spirit.

(vs. 4) Sons of God with the daughters of men produce MIGHTY MEN of renown or GIANTS. These Rosemary’s Babies then become half-breeds of sinful man and fallen angels. Their presence are invoked in Satanic ritual or seance. LATIN for sexual spirits is incubi for male and succubi for female, and believe me, they will prey on you and your children. Their presence is repeatedly recorded throughout the Old Testament.

I Samuel 17:26 - David of Goliath “who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?” He’s part demon and his natural estate is anti-Christ. He can not but be against God’s people. To defeat this adversary you will need a spiritual giant. David is! David used what he had - 5 stones & sling - and went forward in the name of the Lord. You too, as a believer in Christ, can prevail against your Adversary by the name and blood of Jesus, and your profession of faith (Rev. 12:11).

(vs. 5) Wickedness of man was seen by a holy righteous God and it was in excess of His grace, mercy, and love. Only a righteous holy family man was able to prevail against this judgment--Noah. What if it were you? Is there enough in your righteous bank account to buy you an ark? As God looks on the great sin of our generation and the imaginations and thoughts of our hearts I am sure He sees them about the same as in Noah’s generation -- “only evil continually”. Jesus said (Matthew 15:19 ) “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:” It is therefore quite evident that the world is long overdue for heart surgery. God has just the surgical tool to do the job, and His tool is never dull - always sharp! Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Do you understand how sharp this instrument is? It can separate the joints and marrow in the bone structure, and it can divide between what you think and what you intend. Think of the reformation of life if you will allow God to perform His surgery on you?

I saw a girl in tee-shirt with Marilyn Manson on the front with the words:

see no truth, hear no truth, say no truth.

On the back of the shirt was the word

BELIEVE.... with the center letters in bold white:... beLIEve.

In other words “believe the lie” instead of God’s Truth. With such prophets running rampant spreading such an anti-Christ gospel message it is a wonder God’s judgment is so slow to come (vs.6-7) It did come on the generation of Noah and everything was destroyed, (vs. 8) But Noah found GRACE. Have you found grade? GRACE: God’s Riches At Christ Expense. Noah prevailed because of his walk. He was (vs. 9) just, perfect , and walked with God. That is what it takes to prevail, walk through the “valley of the shadow”, and come out victorious on the other side. Job was also such a man.

He was (Job 1:1) perfect, upright, feared God, and eschewed evi1: There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. In the end Job got back all he lost with interest. How would you do?

Another hero in God’s rank and file was the character Enoch. Not much is said about Enoch, but enough is said to pack a big whallop. Genesis 5:24: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him Hebrews 11:5: By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. He pleased God?! Wow! If you were judged by the standard of these three - Noah, Job, Enoch - would God add your name to His list? Another name on the list is Daniel. Under the prophesy of Ezekiel God says that their combined holiness would not be more than enough to save their own soul, let alone anyone else, from destruction (Ezk. 14:14, 20). Note the 14:14. This is double compounded (2x7: 2x7): a double perfect witness.

(vs. 11) The Earth was Corrupt and filled with violence. If you think we are any better check daily news !

(vs. 12) The Lord looked and found the earth corrupt. It had been corrupted by all flesh. In crossing marital--racial bounds they corrupted HIS way (vs.2): Adultery - wife swapping - divorce - homosexuality. Paul says you reap what you sow (Romans 1:26-27): 26: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. Today it’s called AIDS; some years back it was called GRID -- “gay related”. Sooner or later all the chickens come home to roost. Sooner or later you will be judged by God for your sin. If you allow the devil and his angels to take your kids -- sooner or later they will reap the results. You can prevent it!

The divorce rate in Noah’s time was high. It was also high in Jesus’ days. Again, it is high in our days, and getting worse. Today we bypass marriage and just have line-in fornication. Jesus hit the nail on the head as to why we get divorced:

Mathew 19:8: Moses allowed divorce for hardness of heart, but from beginning NOT SO 8: He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. The generation of Noah corrupted God’s way. we have done so again (or still). God has provided a way of escape for us to get though this mess (I Cor. 10:13). Noah found that escape for himself and his family. Genesis 7: 1: And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. In this generation under the administration of grace the way of escape is “Spiritual Warfare” . : For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.(Eph. 6:12). To attack the Adversary on this level requires extraterrestrial weapons beyond anything the Pentagon can imagine. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;(2 Cor. 10:4-5). Joshua tore down the wall of Jericho without firing a shot. Gideon took the Philistines with only 300 men. The three Hebrew children walked though the furnace of fire without even the smell of smoke. Daniel survived the lions den. Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stand still. The stars fought against Sisera. You will find these and many others listed in Hebrews, Chapter Eleven.

To set your children on the right path in the right direction you need to plot their course under the direction of Deuteronomy 6:4-9:

4: Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6: And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8: And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9: And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
