Steps to Salvation:
1) You must be drawn
John 6:44
No man can come to me, except
the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the
last day.
(KJV)
NOTE: All will be drawn but
not all will believe
1 Timothy 2:3
For this [is] good and acceptable
in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be
saved, and to come unto
the knowledge of the truth. (KJV)
2) After hearing how
God sent his Son Jesus in the flesh as a sacrifice to redeem you to him.
You must believe that Jesus is your savior.
NOTE: If you believe Jesus
is your savior you will by faith obey his teachings. You will trust him.
example: If you believe
your Lawyer, Mom, Dad, etc, you obey them, that is, you do what they
say, you follow them. You
do not follow people you do not trust.
3) After accepting
that Jesus is your savior You must repent of your sinful ways. That
is,
you refuse to continue in
the ways of sin. You vow to God that you will not willfully sin.
You die
of your sin nature.
NOTE: It is your responsibility
to learn the teachings of Jesus and how to apply them in your
life.
NOTE: Many people who claim
salvation never get pass this step because of false teachings
and/or an unwillingness
to accept Jesus teachings as a way of life. They know Jesus teachings,
many can quote the bible forwards and backwards, but never walk with or
know him.
4) You must be
born again of the uncorruptable seed.
Your faith in God becomes
a way of life for you. Jesus teachings is your conviction.
You put your trust in God,
not in signs and wonders, not in psychics or astrology but in God only.
You derive satisfaction
from doing the things that are Gods will.
You produce the fruit of
the Holy Spirit.
